Monument record TR 34 SW 1825 - Possible former site of a post medieval bowling green, Durham Hill, Dover
Summary
Historic cartographic sources note the presence of a bowling green at the north eastern end of North Military Road, Dover. The area encompassed by the bowling green has since been developed but a row of terrace houses at the north western end of Durham Hill bears the name 'Bowling Green Terrace' suggesting that the green was nearby. (location accurate to the nearest 10m based on available information)
