Full Description
Inscription on top is illegible. South panel: "Hear lies the body of Mary wife of James Eldridge of this place and daugther of Tho' Wittaker from ? (remainder illegible)
Description: Single step plinth with moulded step tread. Chest on moulded plinth with substantial rustic corner balusters with bases and capitals. Panels each with raised central section. Top stone moulded edge and projecting. Chest 950mm high and 1790 x 770mm below top slab.
Defects: The tomb is overgrown with ivy and brambles. Minor movement in plinth step. Monir growth out of joint between top slab and sides. Top slab has minor cracking.
Recommendations: Carry out repairs and remove plant growth.(1)
