Monument record TQ 54 NW 56 - Royal Observer Corps (ROC) Underground Monitoring Post, Penshurst

Summary

Site of ROC underground post for monitoring nuclear explosions and fallout. Built in 1965 and abandoned in 1991. Open and externally in good condition, internally flooded to a depth of 1ft. Bunks, cupboard and a folding table remain along with meteorological posters.
