Full Description
Position of this barge and another close barge suggests also used as shoreline protection, possibly contemporary with the fort. (1)
The remains of a post medieval or 20th century barge is located at the south-east corner of Folly Point, Hoo Island at TQ 7971 7028. It is the northern of two barges situated in a breach in the sea defences (see also 1542764).
