Full Description
The possible remains of a causeway. Two rows of timbers angled at about 80 degrees towards each other. Standing up to 1m high, most only up to 0.5m high. It extends roughly north south from the river for 30m then turns south west and up into the sea wall for another 15m. There is lots of rubble between the stakes. It may be the fill of a pier structure. The stakes are squared/rectangular in section some are almost more like thick planks up to 0.1m x 0.05m. The structure is about 2m wide. (1)
