Full Description

Erosion has exposed Romano-British pottery. In the 1960s (1966?) recording was carried out of features on the foreshore. A mound and a post hole, a boat, parts of a possible fish trap, a reed floor with briquetage, a chalk and gravel floor (with 1st to 3rd century sherds, glass and roof tiles) associated with post holes 4 to 5 feet part were all reported. (1) No further remains visible at this point during the 2005 coastal survey, though Roman period pottery was found nearby (2)
