Full Description
On the 25th July 1864 Royal Assent was given to an Act of Parliament to incorporate the 'Herne Bay, Hampton and Reculver Oyster Fishery Company'. A series of hard winters in the 1870's depleted the oyster stock and the company went into liquidation. (1)
