Summary

Brook Farmhouse. C14-C19. Grade II listed building. Main construction periods 1300 to 1834 The farmhouse has 14th century cellars and features dating from the 17th century. The present building was altered between 1820-40 when the farm was completely rebuilt as a planned farm by Robert Collard. Apart from the loss of the stable and bullock shed' the group is complete, even including the original pigsties. Some 20th century farm buildings have been added. The old buildings are still in use, the barley barn was massively but carefully rebuilt after the Great Storm of 1987.
