Monument record TQ 87 SE 1096 - Pillbox, near Grain Power Station, Isle of Grain

Summary

A probable Second World War gun emplacement can be seen on aerial photographs taken in 1946. This hexagonal structure was situated on the coast on the south side of the Isle of Grain. It had been demolished by 1955. This was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.
