Shellness Beacon, shown on a chart of 1843 (1) and 1st, 2nd,3rd ed OS 6 inch (2,3,4) A high banked shell and sand beach at this point but no visible remains of a beacon (5)

Rectangular concrete structure on two levels, with close defence embrasures in the lower level and observation slots in the upper level. Good condition. Shell Ness Beach, Isle of Sheppey. (1,2)
