Monument record TQ 77 NW 1029 - Site of Cliffe Creek Coastguard Station boat the 'Swallow'

Summary

Cliffe Creek Coastguard Station marked in a boat called 'The Swallow' on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map (c.1858-1873). Site visited during a 2005 coastal survey - modern sea defences were all that was idenitified, it being possible the coastguard station was demolished and any remains now lie under the sea wall.
