Saltpan House is marked on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map (c.1858-1873). On the later edition maps this building appears to have become the Port Victoria Hotel.

Full Description
Saltpan House identified on the 1st ed OS map (1).
Mentioned in Isle of Grain Historic Area Assessment conducted by English Heritage in 2014, as the site of a small, one storey hotel of Timber construction, built as part of the Port Victoria infrastructure (2).
