Full Description
Circular embanked feature identified on the 2nd ed. OS map (1). No remains visible during the 2005 coastal survey (2)
The earthwork remains of a post medieval enclosure can be seen on aerial photographs taken in 2007. This is situated on the saltings east of Damhead Creek at TQ 8203 7314. The circular enclosure is defined by a bank and originally enclosed an area circa 6.4m across though the central and southern areas have been eroded. These were mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.(3)
