Spigot mortar emplacement at Grain Fort. It comprises a concrete pillar with a stainless steel pivot in the centre of the top. A further emplacement of the same type is located on the Southern side of the fort.

Full Description

(TQ 890767) Grain Fort (NAT) (1-5) Spigot mortar emplacement in N. most corner. (TQ 8898 7672). Concrete pillar with stainless steel pivot in centre of top. Additional emplacement at S. termination of terreplain of the fort, (TQ 8899 7659) of same form. (6). Additional bibliography (7-8). Site photographs (9-12).
