Full Description

Centred TQ 903692: one of a group of four salt-working mounds on the Ferry Marshes. Published 25' survey revised. [For salt working on Sheppey See TQ 97 SW 6] (1) (TQ 90356936 and TQ 90366904) Saltworks (NR) (2) Additional bibliography (3, 4). Wessex Archaeology rapid field survey in 1992 showed all four surviving, and recorded a small additional mound in the field SW of Old Ferry Road.
