Full Description

Probable World War 2 site found during filed survey work in 2002. The site comprises a concrete base 12m in diameter, surrounded by a 0.5m high earthen bank. The concrete structure is possibly base for a storage tank, and probably related to adjacent remains of army barracks (TQ 67 SE 225). A parent child relationship has therefore been created between these monument records. [1]

2015 - The Shorne Archaeology Group cleared an accumulation of detritus and earth to reveal a circular concrete base and lip. Possibly used as a bund for the safe storage of drums of fuel or oil. [2]
