Full Description
Woolly rhino tooth and other palaeo-environmental remains from Last Glacial alluvial sediments at Hawley, Dartford, found during evaluation work for the M25/A2/A282 improvements (link E). These remains were all recovered from Tr 127, dug in 2003 (1). As well as a woolly rhino tooth, small vertebrate, molluscan and ostracod remains were recovered. OSL and Amino Acid dating were carried out, suggesting that the deposits date to the middle of the Last Glacial, c. 50,000 BP (1)
