Full Description
Excavation (July 1995) of a number of previously identified crop marks revelaled a sub rectangular ditched enclosure, thought to be the remains of either Neolithic Mortuary Enclosure or Long Barrow. There was a substantial amount of flint debitage was found in the southern side of the ditch. However no diagnostic pottery sherd were recovered from the site. There is possible evidence of of the estern end of the ditch being recut although there is insufficient evidence to phase this. (1)
