Full Description

A group of linear ditched features identified from 1940s vertical aerial photography [1], they are appear as a mixture of cropmarks and shallow earthworks. The features appear to pre-date the extant, probably post-medieval, field system as they follow divergent courses to it and, as such, have been interpreted as features deriving from an earlier boundary system. More than one phase of boundary system may be represented as features at the eastern end intercut and are diferently aligned to the remaining features.

A transcription of the features recorded from aerial photography exists within a GIS layer held by this HER [2].
