The northern trench is oriented NW-SE and covers a distance of around 50m, and the southern one is oriented N-S and covers a distance of 46m. The trenches are first visible on photographs taken in January 1942 [1] and have been mapped from a series taken in January 1945 [2]. The features are no longer visible by April 1950 [3].
