Full Description
Five WWII bomb craters dropped in a single bombing event, located on Prince's Golf Links and first visible on military aerial photographs taken in 1941 [1].
The line of sub-circular craters extends over 300m, and the diameters of the craters measure between 3.4m and 8.9m; all of which are surrounded by a ring of upcast. The craters have been dropped in a line orientated NW-SE and are first visible in February 1941 [1] and were mapped from this series. They are still partially visible on military photographs taken in April 1950 [2], however there is no evidence of the craters by 2001 [3].
