Full Description
Length of freshly excavated stop line measuring over 2.5km dating to WWII, and located in the Stour Valley. This feature was originally visible on historic OS mapping [1] but appears to have been freshly excavated by January 1942 [2, 3]. The feature was mapped as earthworks from photographs taken in January 1942 [2, 3] and January 1945 [4]. It is still visible by April 1950 [5] and is gone by August 2003 [6, 7].
