Full Description
WWII length of barbed wire running perpendicular from the anti-tank cubes (MWX43271) located on the beach at Sandwich Bay and extending west for around 1500m and may be associated with the military features used to defend Sandwich. This feature was first visible on military aerial photographs taken in January 1942 [1] and was mapped using photographs taken in Janaury 1945 [2, 3]. It is no longer visible by January 1946 [4].
