Full Description
WWII defensive fencing located east of Sandwich between two military complexes (MWX43273 and Mke41944). The fencing measures over 1.2km and was first visible in 1941 [1]. It was mapped from military aerial photographs taken in May 1942 [2] and January 1946 [3], and was removed by August 1947 [4]. The fencing may have been a barrier to prevent access onto the beach, where a minefield was later laid.
