Full Description

Six WWII bomb craters visible as earthworks, situated in the Lydden Valley, east of Worth, and mapped from military aerial photographs taken in September 1946 [1]. The craters are first visible in April 1946 [2] and some are gone by April 1950 [3] and the remaining four are gone by June 1980 [3]. The sub-circular features measure 3.7m, 6m, 9.3m, 7.3m, 6.5m and 6.8m long, and are aligned in a N-S position over a distance of 790m. Upcast is visible around all the craters.
