Full Description

An area of ridge and furrow is visible as earthworks on 1940s RAF vertical aerial photography [1]. The ridge and furrow is very linear and fairly narrow so is likely to be post-medieval in date rather than medieval. The earthworks appear to be ploughed-out on by the 1960s as no earthworks are visible at this location on Ordnance Survey aerial photographs of this date [2]. The ridge and furrow will have been further damaged on its northern side by the construction of a duck decoy pond (TR 36 SW 113).
