Full Description
Three WWII bomb craters are visible on Tenants Hills, Sandwich Bay. The two sub-circular and one sub-oval craters measure 10m, 16m and 21m long. Upcast is only visible on the most eastern crater. The features were first visible in February 1941 [1] and have been mapped from this series of military aerial photographs along with another series taken in February 1942 [2]. The central crater is no longer visible by April 1950 [3] whereas the other two are gone by June 1980 [4].
