Full Description
Four air-raid shelters north of Archcliffe road and south east of Western Heights, Dover. The largest of which was approximately 13.5m long and 10.5m wide, the smallest with a length of 11m and a width of 6.5m. All had concrete reinforced entrance/exit ways and were covered in an earth bank. They were first observed in aerial photography February 1941 [1] and were mapped from April 1947 [2]. They were last observed in April 1950 [3] but had been demolished by 1968 [4] for redevelopment.
