Full Description

D-shaped enclosure of unknown date visible on aerial photography taken in 1978 [1] and still visible as of 2006 [2], on arable land. This levelled feature was likely banked and was of dimensions 43m x 44m, with walls of between 2m and 7m. The site lies within an area of similarly levelled earthworks. To the north is a golf course, which may have used an area of the field, as visible on aerial photography taken in 1946 [3]. Thus it is possible that this feature may represent a golf bunker.

A transcription of the feature recorded from aerial photography exists within a GIS layer held by this HER.
