Old linear field boundaries of pre-1876 [1] date visible on aerial photography taken in 1946 [2], located in Kingsdown. The boundaries were visible as ditches and were not seen on historic mapping after 1876, thus they must pre-date 1876. The southernmost ditch was 450m long, the next ditch northwards measured 380m and the northern ditch measured 240m. The widths of the three ditches varied between 2m and 29m. The boundaries all ran parallel to one another roughly NW/SE. The ditches were still visible on Next Perspectives photography taken in 2007 [3, 4].
