Full Description
A WWII emergency water supply visible on aerial photography taken in 1946 [1], located in St Margaret’s at Cliffe. The circular structure was 11m in diameter, with walls 1m thick. Unusually this feature had exterior banking of a 3.5m thickness. The structure was absent on aerial photographs taken in 1949 [2], but was visible on Next Perspectives photography taken in 2003 and 2007 [3, 4] as a parch mark.
