Monument record MWX43514 - WWII military site, St Margaret’s at Cliffe

Summary

A WWII military site visible in 1946, and not observed in 1942, located in St Margaret’s at Cliffe. The site was comprised of two nissen huts and one separate structure alongside five banks. To the NW was a slit trench and to the S was a series of earthworks which may have formed a munitions dump and included a possible banked gun emplacement. The site was no longer visible in 2003 and 2007.
