Full Description
WWII barbed wire entanglements visible on aerial photography taken in 1941, 1942, 1945 and 1946 [1, 2, 3 and 4].  In total the wire was approximately 750m in length and ran roughly N-S.  The features cut across a firing range (MWX43563) and an area of slit trenches (MWX43581).  A searchlight battery (MKe17261) was also located just SW of the barbed wire lines.  The wire was no longer visible in 1978 [5].  
A transcription of the features recorded from aerial photographs exists within a GIS layer held by this HER.
