Monument record TR 34 SW 1083 - Swingate Chain Home Receiving Station
Summary
WWII radar station visible in 1941, 1942, 1945 and 1946, located in Dover. Swingate Chain house radar station (MKE9024 and NMR1417762) was located to the W of this site and the two were likely functionally related. Many features of the site were still visible in 2007, as standing remains, parch marks and field boundaries. Additional features to those mapped are seen in 2007, indicating post-WWII activity on site; the site appeared to be disused in 2007.
