Full Description
WWII earthwork visible on aerial photography taken in 1945 [1], but not on aerial photography taken in 1942 [2], located in Dover. This rounded rectangular feature appeared to be internally ditched and slightly banked. Its function is not known, but its location in Dover implies a military link. At maximum dimensions the feature was 9m x 6m. The site was not visible on Next Perspectives photography taken in 2007 [3], but the area had not been developed, so the feature may be preserved.
A transcription of the feature recorded from aerial photographs exists within a GIS layer held by this HER.
