Monument record MWX43600 - Possible military site, Dover

Summary

Possible military site dating to WWII visible in 1941 and 1945, located in Dover. The site was comprised of a complex of seven buildings with twelve associated small structures which spanned two fields. The site lay alongside an area which had been converted to wartime allotments, thus it is possible that it was functionally related to these. None of the buildings were seen to be standing in 2007, although the area had not been developed, so some features may remain that cannot be seen from aerial photography.
