Full Description
WWII barbed wire visible on aerial photography taken in 1942 [1], but not 1946 [2], located in Walmer. The single line of wire ran roughly N-S for 275m along the beach. This obstruction was functionally related to another stretch of barbed wire (MWX43646). Alongside lay WWII beach defences (MWX43640) and beach scaffolding (MWX43629). The wire was no longer visible on aerial photography taken in 2003 [3].
