Full Description
Banked earthworks, possibly WWII in date, visible on aerial photography taken in 1945 [1], located in Worth. The eight extant banks spanned an area 85 x 60m at maximum dimensions. Four banks were curvilinear, one was roughly square with an enclosing bank to the E, S and W, the final two banks were located to the N of the square bank. The function of the banks is unknown. These features were no longer visible on Next Perspectives photography taken in 2003 [2].
Located 60m to the S was a former field boundary (MWX43715) and an enclosure (MWX43716).
A transcription of the features recorded from aerial photographs exists within a GIS layer held by this HER.
