Monument record MWX43711 - Banked earthworks, Worth

Summary

Banked earthworks, possibly dating to WWII, visible in 1945 and 1946, located in Worth. These four extant banks were visible as two circular mounds, one of which was encircled by two curvilinear ditches. These features may have been created for use during WWII, as they were not noted on 1938 historic OS mapping, however they may also represent small haystack stances of an earlier date. These features were not visible in 2003.
