Summary

A windmill or wind pump first visible on the Ordnance Survey 1898 edition and last noted on the Ordnance Survey 1908 edition. The feature was recorded first as a windmill and then as a wind pump on the next edition. It was no longer visible on Google Earth in 2007.

Full Description

A windmill or wind pump first visible on the Ordnance Survey 1898 edition [1] and last noted on the Ordnance Survey 1908 edition [2]. The feature was recorded as a windmill on the 1898 mapping and as a wind pump on the 1908 mapping. It was no longer visible on Google Earth photography taken in 2007 [3]. It was given a monument polygon during historic mapping enhancement as part of Phase 1 of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey.
