Full Description
Rifle range first visible on the Ordnance Survey 1877 edition [1] and was noted as ‘disused’ on the Ordnance Survey 1908 edition [2]. No trace of the site was seen on Channel Coastal Observatory photography taken in 2008 [3]. The range was seen as four posts on land and two in the intertidal. This site was given a monument polygon during historic mapping enhancement as part of Phase 1 of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey.
