Full Description
Shipbuilding yard first visible on the Ordnance Survey 1877 edition [1] and also visible on the Ordnance Survey 1899 edition [2]. The area was still visible on the Ordnance Survey 1908 edition [3], but was seen to contain a saw mill (MKE9085). The site was seen to be in use as a field on Google Earth photography taken in 2007 [4]. It was given a monument polygon during historic mapping enhancement as part of Phase 1 of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey.
