Full Description
Brick field first labelled as such on the Ordnance Survey 1908 edition [1] and no longer labelled on the Ordnance Survey 1938 edition [2]. Mapping pre-dating the 1908 edition and the 1938 mapping showed the same field, but only the 1908 edition showed the field as a ‘brick field’. The field was seen to be the same extent on Google Earth photography taken in 2007 [3], but had been split into three and contained two buildings, a pathway and a pond. It was given a monument polygon during historic mapping enhancement as part of Phase 1 of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey.
