Full Description
Gas works first visible on the Ordnance Survey 1877 edition [1] and still visible on the Ordnance Survey 1908 edition [2]. The site was absent on the Ordnance Survey 1938 edition [3]. The site was no longer visible on Google Earth photography taken in 2007 [4] when the site was seen to be in use as a car park. It was given a monument polygon during historic mapping enhancement as part of Phase 1 of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey.
