Summary
Coastguard station recorded on the Ordnance Survey 1877 edition. The structure was still visible on the Ordnance Survey 1938 edition, but not labelled as a coastguard station. The site was recorded as ‘Coastguard Cottages’ on MasterMap dating to 2009. The area was given a monument polygon during historic mapping enhancement as part of Phase 1 of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey.
