Summary

WWII structure, possibly representing a pillbox, visible in 1946, located in Walmer. The feature was an almost square structure. 1942 photography showed the feature to have not yet been created. Next Perspectives photography taken in 2003 showed the feature to be absent.

Full Description

WWII structure, possibly representing a pillbox, visible on aerial photographs taken 1946 [1], located in Walmer. The feature was an almost square structure with sides 8m long. Aerial photographs taken in 1942 [2] did not show the site, implying it was constructed after this date. Next Perspectives photography taken in 2003 [3] showed the feature to be absent.

The feature lay 100m N of a WWII military site (MWX43633), 50m SSE of a smaller WWII military site (MWX43674) and 90m E of WWII earthworks (MWX43671).
