Full Description
Pillbox [shown on German map of defences in East Kent]. Type 24 pillbox, sunk into the canal bank and now almost totally buried.Pillbox [Sector 4]. Cassini ref 617529. On Royal Military Canal, E of Hythe, close to a footbridge. (1) The pillbox referred to above (Source 1) is visible on aerial photographs and has been mapped as part of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey NMP. The pillbox is located at TR 17953 34804, on the northern bank of the Royal military canal, near Seabrook. (2)
