Monument record MWX51309 - Second World War anti tank ditch

Summary

A Second World War anti tank ditch and an associated barbed wire obstruction are visible as an earthwork and a structure on aerial photographs taken in 1945. The barbed wire has been removed on aerial photographs taken in 1959, and the ditch has been backfilled and is visible as a cropmark. A section of anti tank ditch 87 metres to the north is recorded as (1533014). However, the remainder of these anti tank ditches lie outside the project area of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey NMP (Component 2), and have not been recorded.
