Full Description
A Second World War anti tank obstruction is visible as a structure on aerial photographs taken in 1942, though it has been removed on aerial photographs taken in 1945. The beach defence is centred on TR 2308 3563 and extends between TR 2268 3555 and TR 2346 3574. The anti tank obstruction comprises a set of beach scaffolding with an interrupted line of barbed wire behind it. A short length of beach scaffolding and barbed sire extend off at right angles at the eastern and western ends. This site has been mapped from aerial photographs as part of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey NMP (Component 2) (1-2).
