Full Description
A Second World War gun emplacement is visible as a structure on aerial photographs. The site is centred on TR 27144 38589, and comprises a concrete plinth with a central gun mounting. The plinth has been mounted on a 19th century airshaft structure. Ground based photographs show that some of the airshaft structure has been removed to create a level area for the gun emplacement. This site has been mapped from aerial photographs as part of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey NMP (Component 2) (1).
